It is just 3 km from Auli. It is a large grazing land surrounded by coniferous forests and oak trees. From this place, the magnificent views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Doonagiri mountain peaks are found. While walking in nature, the view of these mountains is really bewitched.
One can also trek to Chattarkund which is just 1 km from Gorson Bugyal. Chattarkund is famous for its sweet water and is situated in the center of the dense a forest. With the help of locals or with help from the guide, one can be reached here. Because there is no hotel for staying at this place, the tourists plan their journey for morning and return back before the evening.
During the spring season, this place is transformed into green grassland. This is the best time for camping and trekking. During winter the area is covered with snow. If you enjoy trekking on snow, then this place is cool for you.
How to reach Gorson Bugyal
By Ropeway: By ropeway, one can go from Joshimath to the last tower of Auli ropeway. Gorson Bugyal is just 1.5 km from the last tower of Ropeway.
By Road: One can reach Joshimath from Rishikesh and Haridwar via bus or taxi. From Joshimath, you can take a taxi to reach Auli. After reaching Auli, there is a trek of 3 km up to Gorsan Bugyal.
