Ransi stadium Pauri Uttarakhand
Ransi Stadium is located in Pauri town of Uttarakhand. This stadium is situated at an altitude of 2133 meters above from sea level. This is the second highest ground in Asia located in elevation. The traveler can also enjoy the trekking at this location. The stadium is surrounded by trees from one side and from the other side, it is surrounded by rock. this place is ideal for jungle safari. During the jungle safari, tourists get to see Deer, Wild Chickens.
Going a little further from the stadium, you can also see the beautiful view of the Gagwadsyun Valley.
The road going to the stadium is surrounded by dense Oak and Pine trees. There is a different experience while driving on this road. In the summer season, the traveler gets to see the flowers of Burans here, which will further enhance the beauty of this place. In winter, this entire stadium is covered with snow sheet which becomes a major attraction for Srinagar and the locals. This stadium also provides a panoramic view of Himalayan range. The temple of Kyunkaleshwar Mahadev is situated at a distance of about 1 km from the stadium. This temple was established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya.
On the path of this stadium, many other sights and temples are also located. Earlier, game was played by local youths like football, cricket etc. Now the stadium has been rebuilt, now the district and state level competitions are organized here.
How to reach Ransi stadium
The nearest airport to Pauri Garhwal is Jolly Grant, which is located 130 km away. After reaching the airport the traveler can a taxi from airport taxi stand to Pauri or the traveler can travel by public transport from Rispana Bridge, Dehradun.
Kotdwar Railway Station is the nearest railway station from Ransi Stadium, Pauri which is located 107 km away. From Kotdwar the traveler can easily reach Pauri by shared taxi or bus or can hire a taxi.
Ransi stadium is 2.9 km far from Pauri bus Station. Once reaching the Pauri station, one can reach to Ransi stadium by trek or by own vehicle or by cab.
