Picnic spot Robber’s cave Guchhupani Dehradun
Robber’s cave Guchhupani is located in Anarwala village, Dehradun, Uttarakhand state, about 8km from Clocktower, Dehradun. This is one of the famous place in Dehradun region. The Guchhu pani is also known as Robber’s cave. This place is decent for family, couples, and all age group peoples.
The length of this cave is 600 meter approx, which is separated into two main parts. Because of the water to the knees, you can also take your children’s with you. But in the rainy season, this place is not good for the picnic. So it is good to visit in summer here.
Robber’s cave Guchhupani has the highest waterfall of about 10 meters. In the central part of the cave there is a fort wall structure which is now broken. It is a natural cave where the river flows inside the cave.
History of Guchhupani
It is believed that during the colonial period the robber’s used to use this cave to hide from the British. This cave is bordered by stately mountains, which offers the beautiful natural beauty of this place. To reach Guchhupani, one has to trek for one kilometer. If you have your own vehicle then you can go directly to the site.
