The Triyuginarayan Temple is located near Sonprayag in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 1920 meters above sea level. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. This temple is also pronounced as Trijugi Narayan or Tri-Ugi Narayan or Triyugi Narayan.
The name of that village is also Triyugi Narayan where this temple is situated. There is a Hawan Kund in the temple premises which has been burning since many ages, hence the name of this temple has been Triyugi. Triyugi means the fire which is burning from three eras. This fire is known as Dhananjaya Agni.
The pilgrims who visit Triyuginarayan Temple also visit Gaurikund. It is believed that couples who marry in this temple spend their marital life happily. In this temple, woods are offered in the Havan Kund in the form of Prashad. In order to do marriage in this temple, you have to contact the temple authority and they make an arrangement for you.

Triyuginarayan Temple Story
The Triyuginarayan Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple was constructed by Adi Guru Shankaracharya, its architecture is same as the Kedarnath Temple.
According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva married in this place with Goddess Parvati, daughter of Parvat Raj Himwat. Goddess Parvati had got Shiva with hard penance. Goddess Parvati had done penance in Gaurikund, 5 km from Triyuginarayan. According to the mythological texts, Lord Shiva kept the marriage proposal in front of Parvati in Guptkashi.
In the holy marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvati, Lord Vishnu had followed all manner of folkways as a brother of Devi Parvati, and Brahma Ji became a priest/Pandit Ji in this marriage. The temple complex has two Kunds called Barham Kund and Rudra Kund, the source of these two ponds is the Saraswati Kund. According to the belief Saraswati Kund has originated from the navel of Lord Vishnu.
Triyugi Narayan Temple Timings
The temple remains open through the year for devotees. But during winter the weather of Triyuginarayan become very cold. So the best time to visit the temple is in the month of May-July. People also do Char Dham Yatra in these months. Devotees can also visit this temple during their Char Dham Yatra. The opening and closing timing of the temple is 6 am to 8 pm.

There are 2 ways to reach the temple from Sonprayag. The devotees from Sonprayag can either reach the temple by covering a distance of 6 km or devotees can cover the trek distance of 5 km by taxi and after that can cover the trek distance of 3 km.
Sonprayag is well connected with the road. The nearest railway station from Sonprayag is Rishikesh railway station (212 km) and the nearest airport is Jollygrant airport, Dehradun (226 km). The visitors can hire a cab from the station to reach the temple.
