Satpuli Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand
Satpuli Pauri is located on the banks of the Eastern Nair River, 54 kilometers away from the entire Pauri headquarter of Uttarakhand. It is a town situated on the far side of Kotdwar and Pauri City. this place is situated at a height of 657 above from the sea level.
It is also known as the middle point of Pauri district. This place serves as a resting place for passengers traveling from Pauri-Kotdwara or vice versa.
This place is very famous for fishing, local people and people from nearby villages come here for fishing every day. The view of this valley is beautiful from Kotdwar road.
It is believed that due to the seven bridges on the way coming from Kotdwar to this place, this place was named Satpuli. This is the main market of all the nearby villages.
This place was once famous for agriculture. The flood of 1987 completely destroyed this place. This horrific flood destroyed the houses and shops along the river. Local people and shopkeepers once again recreated Satpuli and soon the Satpuli got settled again.
